Rocking in my four legged chair
Forward and backward, I do not care
Who’s watching and talking, this is my old friend
No squeak or groan or even a bend
We’ve been together now for so many years
Even through the times I rocked drinking beer
Been sober now for a long time
The memories come slower as I’m on my behind

I can just picture that. Good choice with words!

Good or bad, it’s a learned habit that’s calming and dorky. Big Grin…

Michael, there is something about a favorite rocking chair. We have four, count ’em, FOUR in our two-bedroom apartment. One holds my daughter’s huge teddy bear; one was willed to us by a dear friend; one is Lex’s favorite reading chair; and the last one, of course, is mine, all mine, for sipping coffee and cogitating. Loved this! Amy
