I’ve only loved two in all my life
One of them used to be my wife
The other a girl during High School years
When I think of either one I can shed a tear
The world rotates so fast for me today
But I wouldn’t trade the time of yesterday
Will there be time for more; I’m over fifty
I guess for the time being we’ll watch, wait and see

I don’t know why , but it brought the following words to mind … better to have loved and lost , than never to have loved at all … from a poem by Tennyson …
Lovely reflections ! Take care …

over 50 is nothing. Most of my patients are getting married at 70, some meet their mates in their 80s after not being with anyone with some 20 odd years. One has to remain open and it might come when you least expect it ๐

Nicely done and I sympathize with the question. Once I reached fifty, I decided not to limit my loves to those that are romantic. Then I decided to exclue that kind of love. Past sixty now and happy with the choice. A whole new world opened up. Wonderful!

Hello Michael.
As you’re probably aware, I love to write about love and romance. I believe to give and receive love are the greatest gifts in life. Never give up hope of finding love again…love cannot be rushed…it will come to you in its own sweet time. Heck, 50s is the new 40s you know! ๐
Best wishes, my friend.

Shoots … 50 is the new 30 … I am sure there is someone for you … but the most important thing is to make yourself happy and content … this will help attract the right person!!
However, I must say, I have been married 20 yrs … and as much as I love my husband … I won’t do it again! ๐
