Promises never given
Didn’t leave her prepared
When you gave her the news
That you wouldn’t be there
It satisfied your need
To feel justified
When you left her alone
After saying goodbye
Because you told her
From the very start
Promises never given
Still broke her heart
That’s when she pulled
Out the forty five
Shot you dead in the chest
But cried as you died

Jingle wanted passionate poems and I knew the majority were going to be romantic so I had to change it up a bit.
