Can’t You Feel It?

One side dances electric
The other side a burnt bulb
Life of the big party plays
Or cleaning dirty ashtrays sobs
Spending all his money at the mall
Or keeping the rent current
One side feels like having a ball
The other side not so much
Yes they can come together
With some magic crutch

  1. Hard to keep our heads afloat sometimes, isn’t it!… Damned if he does and damned if he doesn’t. But, yes, there can be compromise. Glad it came to that 🙂

  6. I can so relate to this. Well not personally. Both sisters and two nieces are bipolar. They’re happy one moment, their faces all smiles, the next they’re all upset screaming or crying.
We’ve learned to adapt, when they’re smiling and laughing so are we, when they Jekyll and Hyde on us, we leave the room. It works for us. LOL!!
Good job. You did a wonderful job with 55 words. Blessings.

    • Try listening once beyond the tears. There’s a real reason they’re crying and sometimes we just want to be heard and other times I wouldn’t want to be with me either.
