Holding Hands

Hiding in shadows I whispered aloud
With the idea of opening the clouds
I crossed into the light ready to be seen
Letting you know that the light’s now green

I’ve wanted to bring light into my day
In hopes that you’ll listen to what I say
There’s nothing worse than being alone
Or being the one who had to be shown
