The Stem’s Broken

The stem’s broken our deed’s damaged
There’s only shame for me to judge
Who has to let go now and hide?
How am I to go with no grudge?

The apples been bitten two times
With knowledge here comes the wind cold
In these heartbreak times we go on
To stay with you I had to be bold

Knowing the rain won’t wash away
Our shelter needed for protection
Every day’s a start to toil
For losing our God’s connection
