Alien Reconstruction

Passing Gas

Welcome everybody to the introduction
Hopefully I’ll explain it all through my induction
Building a new existence through self seduction
There’s no time now for self destruction

Compiling the knowledge for instruction
Eliminating the extra work through deduction
Now it’s time to begin the inner construction
First finding all the hindering walls by deduction

Then knocking down all those obstructions
And leveling off all the reductions
Finishing my new existence by conduction
Forgetting the time of the alien abduction

Empty Crucifixes

Imagination gives lift to my wings
Makes it easier to lift my voice and sing
Anchors scrapping the bottom breaking their strings
Like a catapult boulder flung on a fling

Landing hard beyond the wide and long river Styx
No change in my mouth to pay for Charon’s pyx
More things that could have happened were politics
Now praising God for empty crucifixes

Pagliacci

Sunday’s I think the day couldn’t get any better
When I’m right… It’s short lived and the earth swallows
When I’m wrong… I’m right..The rain washes it away
What’s left of today… I find the mud and wallow

I’m drawn to bad luck and events on my days off
The tragic clown, Pagliacci, cried for me in the rain
Running fast, slipping on the sewer and floated
All the fuss helped promote his hurt and pain

Daddy’s Shoes

I fill these large shoes but stumble
Falling down hard I am humbled
All around jeering mumbles
Like it’s funny that I tumbled

Again my self talk is bad
I only want to be sad
Where’s your reason to be glad
Your goodness drives me mad

Walking the earth to be hurt
Wanting your ear not your skirt
Finally mocking overt
Calling me an introvert

Crying so long I started a tide
Then slipping on my backside
Rolling in poo again I cried
It’s got to be time for suicide

The shoes fall off climbing up
I slipped down holding on snug
Three more feet to crest the top
Almost there to take the flop

No Ideating, Just flipping the bird
How many listened to or heard
Close off your brain, open your heart
Hear their cries before they depart

So You Had to Ask or

Skimming the water, how do we know
How deep or shallow the water is
Without running the risk of vulnerability
Or are we to know only when it’s his

Does Charon always charge for to and fro
If you had to assk for the answer it always burns
Are (S)elected memories of a rich man’s health
The only way to express funneling Wealth..

Marching in Step

Giving it all up or giving in
Raising the white flag could be a sin
Looking back as I run from the din
Knowing full well no one really wins

Catching up to the ones before
Marching away in step from the war
Promising never again they swore
It’s better to give up to save the corps

Eternal Treasure

Nothing can hold back the tide
Nor lasso the circling moon
Keeping the sun from morning
Or stopping the spring cocoons

I can add to this my soul
Your smile melting my heart
The depth of your sparkling eyes
Opening my sight from the start

All that I have to give you
Is that my fondness is forever
And that you’ll be protected
As my eternal treasure

In honor of upcoming Valentine’s Day, we thought we’d ask something a bit more, shall we say, sensual of our Trifectans.  Your task this week, should you choose to accept it, is to write a love scene in no fewer than 33 and no more than 333 words.

Swing to Wings

The sun kissed her cheeks
and danced in her eyes
Pulling the swing ropes
With hopes she would fly

Disappointed she jumped
High up in the air
Landing on her feet
Like a cat you’d swear

She built wings to wear
To jump off the swing
She gained a few feet
I heard her heart sing

Heart on the Bank

Skipping Stones1

Water worn surfaces smoother tonight

Promises of yesterday on wings flight

Cold is the water in the night spring

Crying in my heart for warmth to bring

Other hearts whipped and skipped so strong

Dancing upon ripples trailing till dawn

Still sink to the depth’s growing peaks

Remembering the words you did openly speak

You said you’d leave my heart on the bank

But no you cast it with the others, and it too sank

Counting

Sadness

Happiness eludes my soul

It’s my soul I can feel the hole

My heart keeps beating like the toll

Counting until love will unfold

Willed Walls

The wall will not yieldHeart Wall

Willed wall brick and mortar shield

Covering ordeals

Time and wind may come to peel

To find this heart of mine healed

Cost

Heart

The cost of my love
Is that I will ever be
I give it freely
