It’s never too late to leave when it’s wrong
There’s no happiness in your face
All were meant to be happy, and not to settle
Figure it out; you’re not in your place
I understand you told me long ago
That I wasn’t the one for you
That’s okay with me as long as you’re free
To do what you want to do
Don’t let the fear of loneliness
Cripple you from doing what’s right
Get off your butt go down the road
And don’t be afraid of the night

This is so true. Sometimes people live their whole lives wishing they’d taken the chance to live it differently than the way that they have. Life is so fleeting to spend the last years wishing we had done it differently when sometimes all we need is some courage to take that leap of faith.
Lovely prose and, thanks for visiting me and leaving yours.

So true….painful decision to make and traumatic after effects sometimes, when you’ve been in a relationship or marriage for a long time. But tis still better to make that move and live true to oneself , rather than forever compromising and convincing oneself that all is well. i can vouchsafe for that. It must be done with a clear head though and not just as a result of an emotional roller coaster ride on a silly afternoon.

I agree with you, but sometimes it takes a fall from the roller coaster to realize what has been going on in your life. Or to be sitting on the side of the road as the caravan pulls away. Agreed not on a silly afternoon.

Sometimes when one doesn’t give a hoot,
It’s time to stand up and give ’em a boot!
Life is too short to be loved wrong,
As one leaves play a sad song,
My heart is not stone it still beats strong,
But life is too short to be loved wrong.
If someone is not happy being with you,
Both neeed to consider just what to do,
Relationships are work, not fun and games,
Giving up of self, not assigning out blame,
Love can be a war, love can be a treat,
Tear down the walls, it’s a two way street!
You gave good advice. Don’t let fear hold you back. Choose to be happy without expecting someone else to make you happy or go.

this was something i can relate to, sometimes we always wished we took the road less travelled, the one we were afraid to have taken when it got offered to us, instead we let our fears stop us from doing so, then we end up in a life of loneliness and we try so hard to get to a place to find that same gratification we once had…
