Who Was He?

Melancholic choices hangs from my crooked neck
Epitaphs, the past of pain reigned, forward to rest
Bled dry with falling tears crystallizing my cheeks
Fumbling and stumbling through the grave yard dare I seek
The cost of our lives are the feelings left behind
You can’t reverse the rising sun only the blind
Shoring up the walls are not needed for six foot deep
And the ways to heaven and hell for some are steep

    • I think if i don’t try and get one out everyday it works better for me. Thanks for your comments.

      • I like your approach. I bet the same would apply to me. I do love the prompts and I’ve been using many to focus ideas into drafts, but they really should cool for a while before I try to turn out something worth sharing. Lately, I feel as though I’ve been rushing ahead too fast.

What you’re doing is definitely working for you. This one was truly outstanding.

  4. Booguloo,
